Dcode42 announced Monday that Megan Vorland has joined Dcode42 as Director of Programs. Megan spent the last two years at University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business and previously served as an Obama Administration political appointee with the U.S. Small Business Administration.

“As we continue to grow and expand our programs, we are excited to add Megan to the team,” said Dcode42 CEO Meagan Metzger. “She brings invaluable federal experience as well as a true passion for helping startups and other growing businesses succeed.”

In her role as Senior Advisor to the Administrator of the SBA, she advised and provided project management support on internal operations as well as recommendations and guidance on policy issues affecting small businesses across the country. Previously, Megan served under the SBA’s Chief Operating Officer, where she was tasked to institutionalize operational best practices and execute high-priority agency initiatives.

“I’m looking forward to the challenges and opportunities this position brings,” Megan said. “Dcode42 is introducing a number of new groundbreaking programs, and it’s an exciting time to be joining the team.”

A native of Brookfield, Illinois, Megan holds bachelors degrees in Economics and Political science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison as well as an MBA from the University of Virginia, Darden School of Business.
