December 2025: The Dcode Debrief

As the year comes to a close, we wanted to take a moment to reflect, and say thank you.

/ A Defining Year at Dcode

This was a year of change. But it also turned into a defining year for Dcode, one where leaning in, staying focused, and aligning with the moment made a real difference.

Across government, the pressure to modernize acquisition, integrate commercial technology, and do more with less is no longer theoretical. It’s operational. And this year reinforced the value of being at the intersection of government, commercial technology, and venture capital.

A few moments that stood out for us:

  • Sustained growth in a volatile environment by staying disciplined about where we add value

  • The launch of RAIC, our Rapid Acquisition Integration Cell, expanding how we support faster tech identification, acquisition, and fielding

  • Continued work helping teams turn reform intent into real operating models

More than anything, 2025 clarified that understanding the government tech adoption ecosystem at an intimate level – and knowing how to evolve it quickly – matters now more than ever.

/ Our Most-Read Thought Leadership

What resonated this year was practical thinking focused on making acquisition reform and fielding concrete and actionable. A few standouts:

  1. Act Like a CEO: Making the Warfighting Acquisition System Operating Model Real
What it actually means to operate acquisition like a mission-critical enterprise, not a compliance exercise.

  2. Solving the Last Mile of Tech Acquisition Is Critical to Defense
Why adoption, integration, and scaling remain the hardest (and most overlooked) parts of modernization.

  3. Q&A: Modernizing Defense Acquisitions and Spurring Innovation
A plain-English breakdown of the Executive Order and what it does (and doesn’t) change in practice.

If you missed these, we hope you’ll check them out!

/ A Quick Note for Our Community

We’ve been rethinking how we show up – and how we talk about the work we do and the value we bring to our clients.

Over the past few months, we’ve quietly rebuilt our website to better reflect where Dcode is headed next. It’s live now - you're on it! - but we’ll be formally rolling it out in the new year. Consider this an early look, and please explore!

/ Dcode Federal Accelerator: Starting January 13

Our Federal Accelerator continues to connect high-growth technology companies with real government problems and help them understand how to pitch commercial solutions faster and more effectively.

If you’re a founder, executive, or investor interested in unlocking the federal market, we’d love to talk – and have you in our upcoming cohort.

/ Thank You – and Onward

Thank you to everyone who entrusted us with your challenges, engaged with our work, and allowed us to push your thinking, and ours, this year.

We’re heading into 2026 clear-eyed, energized, and focused on helping teams turn reform ambition into real outcomes.

Happy New Year!
